Turville Valley Stud, 25th July 1998: 8.30am-End of Show

The Annual Breed Show will take place at Turville on 25th July 1998. All current members have been sent information about the changes necessitated by the switch of venue from Stoneleigh, but see the information on the back cover of this issue of Luso News for more details. Note: Seating at Turville is quite limited, but please feel free to bring your own camp chairs if you wish to guarantee yourself a seat. Grading of purebred Lusitanos will be taking place from approximately 8.30am. There will be no bar on site, but as most of you know, The Bull and Butcher is literally next door to Turville Valley Stud, and we hope that it will stay open all day.

An Evening with John Lassetter and his Guests Friday 31st July 7.30pm

Belmoredean, East Grinstead, West Sussex Lassetter, Lusitanos and Side Saddle Ladies take a look at the different aspects of the world of dressage in an evening of education and aesthetics. Special Guest: Bento Castelhano riding Lusitano stallion, Infinito, leading exponents of traditional Portuguese Equitation, champions of this discipline at Lisbon in1997. Tickets 10 in advance. Open Afternoon with Bento Castelhano Saturday 1st August 3.00pm start

Sunday 2 August - Lusitano Class at Cranleigh Show, Surrey followed by a parade in the Main Arena at 2.30pm
This is a large one day agricultural show; the stand will be there all day as will the Lusitanos and Spanish horses. Spectators - please come along and support the riders. And to all the riders - due to the strong numbers of enquiries for entries into the class, the organisers have opened this class to horses and riders in English Dress (the schedule specifies only Portuguese and Spanish dress). at the National Carriage Driving Championships, Queens Review Ground, Windsor Great Park. A return for the riders who appeared at these Championships in 1996.
