| This is one of my favourite horses of recent years and he seems to have a great rapport with jockey Ruby Walsh. Despite occasional blunders at the 'last' he is a natural jumper. He is a dual Gold Cup winner and of course has won the King George IV 'chase at Kempton on Boxing Day three times (so far!) and in the 2009 race he looked better than ever. It was a brilliantly sunny day which cast a golden light over the scene and I have painted Kauto Star at the second last, where he made a superb leap clearing the fence with ease.
