Limited Edition Prints & Giclée Prints

"I love arts and these pictures show how wonderful to interact with horses and nature."
Arleen Ancheta (USA)

Field Galleries' selection of limited edition prints exclusively feature the work of Sue Wingate who has enjoyed considerable success in this area. Most are in a set of 500 prints (St Leger and Frosty Dawn 575).

Below you will see a thumbnail of each of her prints. Please click on each one to see them in more detail.

With each full picture comes Sue's personal thoughts about the composition. We hope this will give you a unique insight into the way Sue works and how she approaches such pictures.

Giclée Prints

What is different about Giclée prints?  Hitherto all our limited edition prints have been reproduced using the traditional lithographic method and for the time being at least we will continue to produce certain prints in this manner.  However the new digital print technology afforded us by the Giclée process enables us to offer a wider selection of prints and in smaller editions.  The reproductions are of a high resolution and the 6 colour process uses proven light fast pigment inks.

Since the Giclée process involves much lower origination costs (but each individual print is more expensive to produce) we have greater flexibility with the subject matter we can reproduce - in fact we can create prints to order (providing immediate delivery is not required).  We have tested the process with our first Giclée edition of ‘Hadeir’.  Produced on a quality photoragh paper which has a lovely texture, the image measures 15½” x 12" (303 x 395mm) with a white border of between 2-2½” (50-60mm) we are extremely pleased with the result as was our ‘guinea pig’ customer who ordered the first print and who was thrilled with the result!

We will offer our Giclée prints in editions of 100 only worldwide, which makes them potentially all the more valuable and collectable.  Since the production cost of each print is far higher than using the lithographic printing process, this fact combined with the smaller edition means that the individual price will be higher - also wherever possible (in the UK especially) we would prefer to send out your print in a flat pack, delivered by courier.
