| Woody and Cracker were two Pointers used in competition by their owner Richard Burridge - (better known perhaps as the very lucky owner of one of the nation’s favourite horses, "Desert Orchid"!). Whilst visiting his home on the North Yorkshire moors to see Desert Orchid who was in his prime, I really enjoyed walking the moors and watching the dogs seeking out the grouse and was thus inspired to paint this scene. |
